A teenage girl has been found dead in a Ribble Valley beauty spot.

Police were called to Brungerley Park, on Waddington Road in Clitheroe, yesterday (February 12) after reports that a body had been found.

Emergency services attended and the a teenage girl was found dead.

Her death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed to coroners.

A police spokesperson said: “We were called at shortly before 3pm yesterday (February 12) to a report that a body had been found in Brungerley Park, Waddington Road, Clitheroe.

“Emergency services attended and very sadly the body of a teenage girl was found deceased.

“Her death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed onto HM Coroner in due course.”
