Crews were called after a fire broke out at a barn in Burscough last night.
At around 10.45pm last night (February 11), six fire engines from Ormskirk, Tarleton, Skelmersdale, along with the command unit from Fulwood, the water bowser from Leyland and the drone team, rushed to the scene of a fire on Red Cat Lane in Burscough.
Firefighters discovered a fire in an outbuilding containing a large quantity of straw, which was well alight.
At around 5.20am this morning (February 12), the number of fire engines reduced to two but the firefighters remain in attendance and are dampening down hotspots using two jets.

Last night, a spokesperson for the fire service said: “Six fire engines from Ormskirk, Tarleton, Skelmersdale, along with the command unit from Fulwood, the water bowser from Leyland and the drone team, were called to reports of an outbuilding fire on Red Cat Lane in Burscough.
“On arrival, firefighters discovered a fire in an outbuilding containing a large quantity of straw, which was well alight.
“Crews are currently in attendance and are using three jets to tackle the fire.”
