Victor and Karen Arciniega, who will operate the Franchise for the new McDonald’s restaurant in Nelson, said they are currently recruiting new staff at the store.
They said: “We’re delighted to be opening a new McDonald’s restaurant in Nelson this Spring. The restaurant will bring over 100 new jobs to the local area.
“We are currently recruiting for a number of roles, and would encourage anyone to apply.”
According to the McDonald’s website, a full time customer care assistant is needed for the new store.
A spokesperson said: “As a customer care assistant, think of yourself as the face of your restaurant.
“In a nutshell, you'll deal with customers and make sure everything runs as it should in the customer areas.
“Activities include making children feel welcome, handing out balloons, organising special events, looking after customers' specific needs, keeping high standards of cleanliness in the dining area and toilets and helping to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
"It's your responsibility to establish and maintain positive communication with customers at all times and to keep the manager informed about customer satisfaction.
"Quite simply, you'll be working in our fast moving, high energy environment and we’re looking for a genuine smile plus an ability to connect with customers and make them feel valued.”

In 2022, Pendle Rise shopping centre owners in Nelson sold the town's former bus station and multi-storey car park site, at Broadway, to McDonald’s.
At the time a spokesman for Future Properties Limited, which owns Pendle Rise, said: “This is fantastic news for Nelson.
"The formal hand-over is done. This sale represents an important investment in the town centre.
"The new McDonalds’ restaurant will attract people into the town and also help wider changes taking place."
He added: “This process has been floating-around for two or three years. It was slowed by the pandemic and months of lock-downs.
"But the sale is now formally completed and the land now belongs to McDonald’s. Work is hopefully going to start as soon as possible with, potentially, the new restaurant opening by the end of this year.”
