Good news for 14 eateries in Blackburn with Darwen as they are handed new food hygiene ratings after recent inspections.

Examining food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and management of food safety, inspectors have given 14 eateries five-out-of-five ratings.

Grub @ The Hub at The Hub, Commercial Road, Darwen was handed the rating after inspection on January 31.

In their inspection report they have been rated ‘good’ in all areas.

Little Dessert Shop at 16 Eanam, Blackburn, was also handed a five-out-of-five after it was rated on January 25, it was also rated ‘good’ in all areas.

Chaii Caffe Ltd at 33 Freckleton Street, Blackburn was rated on January 23, it was awarded a five-out-of-five and ‘good’ in all areas.

Walker Park Cafe at Walker Industrial Park, Walker Road, Blackburn was also rated a five after inspection on January 18.

The inspection report states the hygienic food handling and the management of food safety are ‘good’ whilst the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building are both ‘very good’.

After inspection on January 16, La Marocaine at 74-76 Walter Street, Blackburn, was awarded a five-out-of-five.

The inspection report states it is ‘good’ in all areas.

Cherry Tree Cricket Club Ltd at 459 Preston Old Road, Blackburn; was given a five after it was rated on January 30 which was also rated ‘good’ in all areas.

The Chetham Arms at 83 High Street, Chapeltown was also handed the rating after inspection on January 19 and rated ‘good’ in all areas.

The eighth eatery to be handed a five is Pizza Island at Unit 1, Watford Street, Blackburn which was rated on January 31 and rated ‘good’ in all areas.

The ninth eatery handed a five-out-of-five is German Doner Kebab at Unit 1 16 Old Maida Building, Eanam Wharf; rated on January 25.

The eatery was rated ‘good’ in all areas.

Greggs at Blackburn Services M65, Commercial Road, Darwen was rated a five after inspection on January 24.

The eatery was rated ‘very good’ in all areas.

Becky's Bakery Ltd at 787 Whalley New Road, Blackburn; rated on January 23 was awarded a five.

The inspection report states the eatery is ‘good’ in all areas.

Jaffa Shawarma at 2 Bank Top, Blackburn was also rated a five on January 23.

The second to last eatery to be awarded a five recently is Bryan Street Chippy at 2 Bryan Street, Blackburn which was rated on January 18.

The inspection report states it was rated ‘good’ in all areas.

Finally, World of Waffle Ltd at 25 Church Street, Blackburn was rated a five-out-of-five on January 13.

It was rated ‘good’ in all areas.
