This photo was taken in December 1989 to mark the opening of a new coffee bar in The Fusebox at Pilkington Street in Blackburn.
It’s difficult to see but the menu says it was 10p for a tea and 12p for a cup of coffee.
The Fusebox was a drop-in centre for young people and would later become a base for Nightsafe. The site is now part of Blackburn Youth Zone.
It was originally part of Norweb’s offices hence the name Fusebox. Did you ever go to the Fusebox? We’d love to know more about it. Email bygones@nqnw.co.uk or leave a comment
