A HISTORIC East Lancashire market hall has lined up a week of free magical events for the forthcoming February half term holiday.
It will invoke superheroes, royal princesses, and wizardry during a boredom-busting array of free family activities.
The action at Accrington's Grade II listed Victorian Market Hall gets underway on Tuesday February 14with Valentine’s Day-themed children’s crafts by ‘Busy Bugs Crafts’, and biscuit decorating with ‘Cook Stars’.
Taking place between 11am and 3pm, no booking is required.
Budding young witches and wizards can enjoy broomstick training, spell casting and enchantments with characters at the Market Hall at 11am on Friday February 17.
The spellbinding hour-long workshop run by Just Imagine UK will also include themed games and interactive theatre.
Superhero and Royal Princess training academies will take place at the market hall at 11am on Saturday February 18.
Children can choose which one they would like to participate in on the day.
There will be photo opportunities with the characters at the end of Friday and Saturday’s Just Imagine workshops.
Free crafts and various activities will also run throughout both events until 2pm and no booking is needed.
Hyndburn Council's markets boss Cllr Marlene Haworth said: “There’s something for everyone this Spring half-term with a host of great events and activities for the family to enjoy!
"And remember, all events are free, so it’s a perfect opportunity to keep the kids entertained while browsing the market hall’s fantastic array of stalls, or enjoying a hot brew or tasty snack at one of our cafes.”
Pop-up stalls are available for local businesses during the half-term events.
