A nurse from Earby is delighted at winning a lifetime supply of bras from a boutique in Colne.
Janet Tomlinson may never have to buy another bra for the rest of her life, after winning a raffle hosted by The Lingerie Boutique in Shackleton Hall.
The prize is limited to two bras per year but will be in place “until the owners die or the shop closes”. Free bra fittings are also included in the prize.
Janet said she was “thrilled” to win the prize when her name was revealed earlier this month.
She said: “I’m thrilled to win such a fantastic prize.
“Boutique owner Clare is fantastic and always offers a welcoming personal shopping experience - I am a regular customer.
The raffle, which cost a minimum of £10 to enter, will also help Burnley-based Pendleside Hospice as all money raised from the raffle will be donated to the charity.
Janet added: “As a nurse, I know about the work Pendleside does and was very happy to support a raffle which was benefiting a really worthwhile cause. Winning was a bonus!”
Boutique owner, Clare Mead, managed to raise £500.40 thanks to the raffle
Posting to JustGiving while setting up the raffle, Clare said: “I lost my mum to breast cancer in 2018.
“Pendleside Hospice offered support to her and my dad through this difficult time. I wanted to support a local charity which meant a bit more to me personally while doing something for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
“It's always been a cause close to my heart, especially owning a bra shop and fitting ladies to feel fabulous again after surgery.”
