IF only bars could talk! If you enjoyed your nights out in the late Seventies and early Eighties then this would have been a site of many a memorable occasion.
The prancing horse on the wall may well give away the location of this photo taken for an advertising feature back in August 1979.
This was the Bay Horse bar at the Bay Horse New Inns on the hills above Rishton. The New Inns, which had its own function room, was a popular night spot often hosting punk and New Wave gigs.
The venue was badly damaged by a blaze in 1984. Were you a regular at the Bay Horse New Inns? Which bands did you see there? Share your memories by leaving a comment or emailing bygones@nqnw.co.uk and if you have any photos of nights out there we'd love to see them
