Hyndburn police say they have been busy this week, after finding cannabis farms, a wanted man and more in Accrington.
On Wednesday morning (January 25) police executed two drug warrants and found cannabis farms other controlled drugs and weapons.
Police also found an electricity meter that had been bypassed, causing a significant fire risk.
In the afternoon, officers patrolled ‘hot spot’ areas for burglary, drug dealing and auto-crime, resulting in numerous stop searches and disruption visits taking place.
On Thursday (January 27) police were in Accrington town centre and on the Central and Spring Hill wards carrying out searches.
Police even made enquiries to locate a wanted man.
A car, that was being used illegally by an unlicensed driver, was also seized.
PC Tom Gallagher from the Hyndburn Neighbourhood Taskforce said: “I have been working with the taskforce team for a year and part of my role involves targeting drug supply and organised crime groups across the borough.
“I’m also tasked with tackling crime and anti-social behaviour, locating wanted people and keeping the roads safe.
“The team and I are dedicated to tackling the issues that concern you most and you’ll see regular updates mentioning Operation Warrior – part of our response to organised crime. If you see me out and about on patrol, please don’t hesitate to."
