POLICE joined forces with youngsters from Park Primary School in Colne to say no to bullying.

PCSO Trish Thompson gave talks to seven classes from the school about the effects of bullying.

And she invited the children to design their own anti-bullying posters as part of a competition sponsored by ASDA and McDonalds.

Evelyn Baldwin, the leader of the local Horsfield Youth Club said: "Overall the posters were of fantastic quality and I was very impressed.

"They sent out very important messages about not tolerating bullying and the effect that it has on its victims."

PCSO Thompson said: "It is encourag-ing to see that young people are trying to end bullying.

"The effort put in by the children in creating their posters shows how strongly they feel about the subject and understand the effects of bullying on other people."
