Bargain hunters will be in their element an antiques centre, indoor market and auction house is coming to Darwen and they will all be under one roof.
There will also be a coffee shop on the ground floor to refuel while shopping.
They will be located at the site of the old Co-op bakery in Borough road and there will be a grand opening on January 28.
While the antiques centre is new, the market and Darwen Auctions are relocating from their former site on Hollins Grove Street.
Sandra Lambert who, co-owns the business with Richard Arkwright, says she can’t wait to get started.
She said: “We are opening an indoor market, which will be a little like a car boot. You can sell anything you want.
“Upstairs there will be an auction house and an antiques center.”
Sandra said anything can be sold at the site, from collectibles to handmade goods.
She said: “Literally anything and everything will be sold here, from antiques, to vintage clothes and even modern items and makeup.
“You name it and it will be here.
“It’s going to be ace and I am so excited.”
Sandra said the business move was necessary after their former site was popular and “bursting at the seams”.
She said: “Just after Covid we opened a little hub called Unit 17 in Lower Darwen where people could come and grab a coffee and have a look around.
“That has gone from strength to strength and we are bursting at the seams. We knew we needed to move.
“I wanted to move into old building that had history. I knew I wanted this building and would do whatever it took to get it.
“Now, everything is moving under one roof.”
The grand opening will take place on January 28. Cakes, hot drinks and activities for children will be provided.
Sandra said: “Our project always has been and always will be about the community. This new step is community adventure and we want everyone to be on board.”
The market will be open from 9am to 4pm on Saturdays and 10am to 3pm on Sunday.
The auction house and antiques centre will be open seven days a week, from 10am until 4pm.
