A road had been closed due to ‘extreme weather conditions’.

Police have closed Ridehalgh Lane at Briercliffe this evening, reminding drivers to be careful and stay safe.

Officers in West Yorkshire are closing the other side of the road.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Constabulary said: “Due to extreme weather conditions we have had to close Ridehalgh Lane at Briercliffe, Burnley and our colleagues in West Yorkshire will be closing the other side as well.

“Please be careful and stay safe during this weather.”
