A person was rushed to hospital after a crash this afternoon.
Emergency services were called at around 4.45pm today (January 12) after two vehicles were involved in a crash on Heyhouses Lane in Lytham St Annes.
Two fire engines from St Annes and South Shore were sent to the scene of the incident and crews were at the scene for one hour and 15 minutes.
One person was extricated from the vehicle and taken to hospital by North West Ambulance Service.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “At 4.42pm on January 12, two fire engines from St Annes and South Shore attended a road traffic collision on Heyhouses Lane, Lytham St Annes.
“The incident involved two vehicles. Firefighters extricated one casualty using Holmatro cutting equipment and a long board. The casualty was conveyed to hospital by North West Ambulance Service.
“Crews were in attendance for one hour and fifteen minutes.”
