A law firm with three offices in East Lancs has kicked off the new year with five promotions across their practice areas.

Farleys Solicitors, which has offices in Blackburn, Burnley and Accrington as well as Preston and Manchester, has added new partners it believes will help it achieve “continued growth” in 2023.

Richard Bell, Jane Chadwick, Kelly Darlington, Mark Hague, and Victoria Mitchell have all been appointed partners of the 150-strong full service team.

Mr Bell is a corporate law specialist who joined the firm in 2021 and acts on a wide range of matters nationally, including business sales, acquisitions and mergers together with corporate restructures and advice on business financing and ownership.

Ms Chadwick is a highly experienced personal injury solicitor having trained at Farleys and gone on to be an integral part of the firm’s series injury and medical negligence team.

Inquest specialist Ms Darlington is another who started her career and training at the firm and was recently named as The Times’ ‘Lawyer of the Week’.

She represents clients across the country in inquest proceedings, human rights claims, and actions against public authorities in relation with the provision of care.

Mr Hague joined Farleys in 2019 and heads up the firm’s insolvency team, working with insolvency practitioners, directors, creditors, private individuals, and lenders.

Mitchell leads Farleys’ employment & HR team having established the department upon her appointment to the firm.

With considerable commercial expertise, she provides specialist employment advice on a full range of matters including disciplinary and grievance, employment tribunals, strategic planning, re-structuring, and employment documentation.

Ian Liddle, managing partner at Farleys, said: “All five are commended for their talent, hard work and are highly valued by colleagues and clients alike.

“These well-deserved promotions, along with other recent developments at Farleys, position us well for continued growth in 2023 and beyond.”
