More details have been released about the Take That musical film, Greatest Days, that was filmed in Clitheroe last year.
The production team say the film is almost finished and is set to come to screens this spring or summer.
The film’s cast and crew attended a private screening of the film on Sunday (January 8) at Picturehouse Central in London.
Dalvin Cory, who plays a band member in the film, shared pictures and videos from the screening.
He said: “Just wow, what a chapter in my life.
“What a crazy blessing this is. I'm still not realising what is actually happening.
“I just want to thank everyone involved in this process and also my family and friends for always supporting me.
“Life is good.”
Greatest Days is based on the stage musical, The Band, about a group of women who reunite after 25 years to see their favourite pop act.
It follows the success of musical 'juke box' movies like Mamma Mia and will feature 16 of Take That’s greatest hits as well as new material.
It is described as ‘a feelgood universal story of love and friendship’ and will introduce us to five schoolgirls, Rachel, Heather, Zoe, Claire and Debbie, who live in Clitheroe and have the night of their lives at a concert featuring their favourite boyband.
Twenty-five years later, after their lives have changed in many ways, they reunite to reminisce about their past, including Debbie’s untimely death, and discover their future.
It was filmed in and around Lancashire last April with many businesses and locals getting stuck into filming.
Doe Bakehouse bakery, on Market Place, changed their shop frontage to accommodate the filming.
Sarah Harbord, owner of The Rose and Crown Hotel on Castle Street, played host to the cast, offering her venue as a changing and storage facility.
The Clitheroe Rotary Club helped marshall the sets, with many residents commenting how much of a fantastic job they did.
The film has been be directed by multi-BAFTA-winning Coky Giedroyc (How to Build a Girl) and written by Tim Firth (The Band, Calendar Girls and Kinky Boots) who is no stranger to Clitheroe as he holidayed in the town as a child and has fond memories of the area.
The band members will be played by Aaron Bryan, Dalvin Cory, Joshua Jung, Mark Samaras and Mervin Noronha.
Actor and comedian Aisling Bea, who won a TV Bafta in 2020 for her show This Way Up, has been announced as part of the cast line-up, having previously starred in Netflix productions Living With Yourself and Love Wedding Repeat.
Take That stars Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald are set to make a small cameo in the movie.
Speaking to an online news site, Gary said the trio play buskers who are serenading passers-by at a train station in Athens, with their hit song ‘Shine’.
Gary said: “Yeah, we did the scene once and [the director] negotiated our ten-minute cameo down to about three seconds.”
More details about the film and its release date will be announced in the coming months.
