Police are appealing to the public for witnesses and dashcam footage after a man died in hospital following a car crash.
Police were called to Liverpool Road South, in Burscough, at 9.35pm on Monday (January 2).
A Vauxhall Astra car, driven by a 60-year-old man, crashed into a bus stop. He later died in hospital.
Police are now asking for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
A police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses and dashboard mounted camera footage after a man died in a road traffic collision in Burscough.
“The incident happened on Liverpool Road South at 9.35pm yesterday (January 2).
“A Vauxhall Astra car was in collision with a bus stop and very sadly the driver, a 60-year-old man, later died in hospital.
“Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from the area around the time, please contact 101 - quoting log 1140 of January 2, 2023.
