The staff at a general practice in Chorley are ‘proud’ with the results revealed from the patient survey.
Dr Robinson and the team at Withnell Health Centre in Chorley have shared their excitement after patients praised the service.
The GP Patient Survey was sent out to patients aged 16 or over registered with GP practices in England.
In 2022, an impressive 92 per cent of Withnell Health Centre patients said they were happy with the appointments offered, which is 27.8 per cent higher than the national average which stands at 72 per cent.
Additionally, over three-quarters the Withnell Health Centre patients could see or speak to their preferred GP – way over double the 36 per cent national rate.
In 2019, pre-pandemic, Withnell Health Centre ranked 22nd out of the 30 GP practices in Chorley and South Ribble, with Adlington Medical Centre ranking as the best.
This year, however, 87 per cent of Withnell Health Centre patients said their overall experience of the GP practice was good - once again higher than the national response (72 per cent), and 47 per cent higher than Adlington Medical Centre in 2022.
Although satisfaction with the general practice appointment times was their lowest result, dipping to 66 per cent, this was still higher than the national average.
A statement released on the GP’s website says: “Dr Robinson and the Withnell Team are proud to serve the local community. We rarely blow our own trumpets; but we wanted to end the year with a few statistics…
“The Friends and Family Score, which asks “are you very satisfied/satisfied with the care given by the practice” rates us at 98 per cent (this is one of the highest scores in Chorley).
“Our patients have the lowest number of attendances at Casualty/Urgent Care; compared to all the other Practices in Chorley and Preston.
“We work very hard to see you at the Health Centre as this is much better for patients and helps the hospital to run more smoothly.
“We have recently expanded our team to further improve the care we give. We have a new locally trained permanent doctor, Dr Anna Ressel, and a new Practice Nurse Elizabeth, to enhance our established team.
We would like to wish all of our patients and staff at Withnell Health Centre a healthy and happy 2023!”
