A video has emerged of an abandoned car submerged in water after roads flooded in and around Buckshaw Village.
Tommy Leeds shared a photo and video of the stranded vehicle near Buckshaw Hall on Tuesday night (December 27).
Tommy said: “The roundabout near Buckshaw Hall has flooded, avoid the area for now.”
Police have since closed roads in the area until the heavy flooding issue can be addressed.

The following roads are closed until further notice:
- Central Avenue to Exuton Lane
- Buckshaw Avenue to Bryning Way
- Central Avenue to Brookwood Way
A spokesperson for Chorley Police said: “Please be advised that due to heavy flooding we have closed Central Avenue to Exuton Lane, Buckshaw Avenue to Bryning Way and Central Avenue to Brookwood Way are all closed.
“Please be careful during this weather”.
