Burnley FC in the Community (BFCitC) has announced a partnership with Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT) to support each other's work through health and wellbeing initiatives.
The partnership aims to provide enhanced services for service users and their families in East Lancashire, including increased access to physical activity, health checks, wellbeing campaigns and support for making healthier lifestyle choices.
The partnership also seeks to reduce social isolation through community integration programs and to build on BFCitC's current offers.
Michael Colquhoun, director of community projects at BFCitC, said: "We are really pleased to announce this partnership with Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust and this gives real credibility to our Health and Wellbeing work."
Jane Munton-Davies, director of operations for Pennine Network at LSCFT, added: "We are delighted to be involved in this partnership with Burnley FC, enabling local services to reach out to our communities and improve opportunities to engage with vulnerable people, supporting and helping people to keep well at the heart of where they live."
