A HEARTFELT collection of paintings and illustrations is set to go on display at Darwen Library.
Veteran teacher Gillian Ousby's work is set to be showcased in the gallery at the Croft Street venue from today.
The Blackburn Art Society member's exhibition, which runs until January 6, is entitled 'Straight From The Heart'.
A libraries spokesman said: "Gillian's work is usually filled with light and bright cheerful colours.
"Her inspiration comes from God's creation - a walk in the woods or along the seashore delights her heart and often inspires her work."
Gillian has worked as an early years teacher at Sudell Primary in Darwen and Shadsworth Infants in Blackburn for more than 35 years.
Library officials say she enjoys working with oils, acrylics, watercolours and pastels.
Gillian will be taking part in a 'meet the artist' event today, with her paintings and prints on sale at the library. The exhibition will continue through the Christmas and New Year period, according to opening times.
