A man from Lancashire has been arrested in an early morning raid as part of a regional investigation into fraud.
Detectives from the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (NWROCU) supported by officers from Lancashire, Merseyside, and North Wales Police carried out warrants yesterday morning (Thursday December 15) and arrested two men as part of an investigation into fraud.
A 43-year-old man from Ormskirk and a 33-year-old man from Formby were both arrested for fraud by false representation, conspiracy to commit fraud and money laundering.
Officers seized a substantial amount of cash along with designer watches and jewellery as part of the searches.
Both men have since been interviewed and released under investigation.
