A compensation package has been drawn up after residents in Darwen were left without water due to a leak.
Bosses at United Utilities have offered payouts of at least £30 after a burst water main in Roman Road on November 23 and 24.
Customers served by Hoddlesden service reservoir, close to where the leak occurred, are understood to have been affected.
Tankers were dispatched to the area to assist with supplies and households had bottled water deliveries.
In a letter to residents, a United Utilities official said: "We worked hard to repair the burst, once the repairs had been completed and the water was flowing again we became aware that some customers were still without water.
"This was caused by further burst pipes in the area. Once we completed all of the repairs we were able to get the water flowing again."
Customers who lost their water supply for more than 12 hours but less than 24 hours were entitled to £30 in compensation, it was confirmed.
Homes in Blackburn and Accrington were affected around the same time by separate leaks.
And a major leak, reported on the Oakdale state in August led to supply problems for hundreds of homes.
