Firefighters rescued a dog who was stuck on an reservoir this morning (December 13).
At 10:16am two fire engines were called to East Burwains Avenue in Foulridge, near Colne.
A dog was stuck on a reservoir, which had patially frozen over, and needed to be saved.
Fire crews used a sled and line rescue equipment to rescue the dog and were in attendance for an hour.
A spokesperson for the fire and rescue service said: “At 10:16 on 13 December, two fire engines from Nelson and Colne attended an animal rescue on East Burwains Avenue, Foulridge.
“The incident involved a dog that was stuck on an icy reservoir. Firefighters used a sled and line rescue equipment to rescue the animal. They were in attendance for an hour.”
