The Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival will return to Colne in 2023, Colne Town Council have announced.

The festival, in association with Colne Blues Society, will run over the August bank holiday from Friday, August 25, to Sunday, August 27.

After a two-year break, the festival made a successful return last year with record-breaking ticket sales which saw an approximate attendance of 35,000 people.

As well as being a big draw for people in Colne, it’s also a major event in the UK Blues Festival calendar.

There will be a range of live music across the town, from main stages to official fringe venues.

Nathan Cutler, Colne Town Council’s events officer, said: “We are so excited to have the festival return in 2023.

"The event puts Colne on the map with music lovers far and wide and it is great to see the town so busy.

“Not only are people coming to enjoy the atmosphere and variety of entertainment, they’re also coming to support our local businesses. It’s incredible what the event does for the town.”

The event line-up and information about ticket sales will be released on Colne Town Council’s social media and website soon.
