Camelot, August 1988
This photo from August, 1988 shows the clean-up operation underway at the Camelot theme park at Charnock Richard near Chorley.
Flames ripped through part of one of the North West’s top tourist attractions just hours after Bank Holiday crowds had left the park.
More than 20 firefighters dealt with the blaze which destroyed five single-storey buildings on the site - a sweet shop, storeroom and three amusement stalls.
