Peter Kay has teased a "big announcement" following the first shows of his UK tour in Manchester.
The legendary Bolton comic has been something of a hot topic in recent weeks.
His long-awaited return to stand up began at the AO Arena in Manchester on Friday, December 2 after weeks of fans scrambling to get tickets.

His shows were so much in demand that the website selling the tickets even temporarily crashed.
Today, Wednesday, December 7, Kay has taken to social media to thank those who went along to his first stint of shows, and has left fans on a cliff hanger.

He said: "I'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came to the first shows in Manchester. It was incredible to be a part of such a happy experience.
"Everybody deserves a bit of joy. Here's to a lot more in the shows to come.
"P.S. big announcement Thursday on Sara Cox Drivetime Show just after 6pm."
