A 35-year-old man from Blackburn has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after two women were stabbed in the neck.
Police say that two women were stabbed in the neck in Pleck Farm Avenue, Blackburn, at around 8pm yesterday (December 6) and were rushed to hospital.
Their injuries have been described as not life-threatening, and a man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody.
Officers are treating this as an isolated incident and say there is no wider threat to the public.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: “We were called to Pleck Farm Avenue, Blackburn, at 8.06pm yesterday (December 6) following reports two women had suffered stab injuries to the neck.
“They were taken to hospital and their injuries are not described as life-threatening.
“This is being treated as an isolated incident and there is no wider threat to the public.”
