A cat was rescued by firefighters after a blaze broke out at a home in Salterforth.
Four fire engines from Hyndburn, Great Harwood, Nelson, and Colne were called to Standing Stone Lane, Salterforth at 8.30am today (December 5).
They used breathing apparatus, one hose reel, and one dry powder extinguisher to battle the fire.
One cat was rescued from the house and was given treatment. Crews are still at the scene of the fire.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “At 8.30am on December 5, four fire engines from Hyndburn, Great Harwood, Nelson sand Colne attended a domestic property fire on Standing Stone Lane, Salterforth.
“Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel and one dry powder extinguisher to extinguish the fire.
“Fire service personnel One cat was rescued from the property and received oxygen.
“Crews remain in attendance.”
