A MAN who admitted he had been taking ketamine kicked off at an Accrington cafe.
Blackburn magistrates heard Thomas Smith's behaviour upset staff and customers at the eatery.
Smith, 21, of Audley Range, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour at Bulloughs Cafe, Scaitcliffe Street, Accrington. He was fined £120 with £85 costs and £48 victim surcharge.
Lee Woodyatt, prosecuting, said Smith had turned up at the cafe shouting that he wanted to order some food. His friend tried to keep him out of the shop but he went in and shouted; "Where's my food, I deserve to be in this world."
He went outside, lifted up his shirt and dropped his shorts before smashing up his own phone and kicking some metal railings.
Smith later told police his behaviour was due to him taking ketamine. He said he didn't take it often but this was the affect it had on him.
Jonathan Taylor, defending, said his client had let himself down badly.
"It had a bad affect on him and he accepts he caused a real nuisance and some fear by his actions," said Mr Taylor.
