A new JD gym is set to open in East Lancashire next year.
JD Gyms, part of the JD Sports Fashion group, is creating an 20,000 square foot fitness facility in the former Oak Furniture Land at Prestige Retail Park in Burnley.
The gym is due to open in early Spring 2023, and will be the second JD Gym in East Lancashire, joining the current site in Blackburn.
Featuring hundreds of pieces of the industry’s best cardio, strength and functional fitness equipment, the gym will also offer one of the area’s largest free weights zones.
There will also be an Eleiko functional rig, boxing area and saunas in the changing rooms. There will also be a separate ladies only gym area.
A state-of-the-art fitness studio will play host to more than 300 classes a month, including a HIIT bootcamp concept, JD Burn, all of which are included in the monthly membership price.
The gym will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and there will be plenty of free parking on site.
Managing director of JD Gyms, Alun Peacock, said: “Burnley is a fantastic location for us and we're excited to expand the JD Gyms brand across the North West.
“We’re incredibly proud to be creating such a high standard of fitness facility for the people of Burnley.”
Burnley gym-goers can reserve a first month £5 discount place online now by visiting the JD Gyms website.
Elsewhere in East Lancashire, there is a JD Gym at the Peel Centre in Whitebirk Drive, Blackburn.
There are also JD Gyms in Preston, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale, Wigan, Blackpool, and Thornton-Cleveleys.
