A new £2 million wedding venue in a former Grammar School is hosting an ‘extra special’ winter wedding fair this weekend.

Burnley’s newest, exclusive wedding venue, The Landmark’s 1873 Wing, is hosting the event on Sunday, December 4.

Having spent more than £2m carefully and completely restoring the iconic former Burnley Grammar school, the venue is now preparing to host its second wedding fair, having held an extremely successful first Wedding Fair back in June.

On Sunday, from 12pm until 3pm, the Landmark’s 1873 Wing will be open for ‘brides or grooms to be’ to come and discover the Grade II listed building, as well as the chance to meet a range of wedding suppliers.

Visitors to the fair will get to enjoy free-flowing fizz, festive treats, goodie bags, raffle prizes and fantastic live music, while there will be a chance to win a drinks package worth £300 for their big day.

Attending the fair will be a range of suppliers including a bridal shop with models walking around the event showcasing dresses, a florist, make up and hair technician, cake maker, live band, a room dresser and many more.

The exclusive, boutique venue which has good availability in 2023 including Saturdays, can cater from 35 to 80 guests for a seated wedding breakfast, and up to 150 guests for the evening reception, with free, private on-site parking available.

General Manager Claire Rhodes said: “We can’t wait to host our second Wedding Fair here at The Landmark and what better time to do it than Christmas, when we can showcase winter weddings and when everyone is in the festive spirit. “

The 1873 Wing is Burnley’s newest event destination, hosting everything from live music to inspiring talks, as well as being a venue for all life’s celebrations including 21st Birthdays, christenings and private dining for large parties.
