The timetable for this year’s Santa sleigh has been announced.
Blackburn Round Table have released the routes and dates for their annual Santa's Sleigh tour around Blackburn and surrounding areas bringing some festive cheer.
This year is the second year the group will be using their new sleigh which was built last year by the members.
This year they will be visiting the following areas:
- Feniscowles – Thursday, December 1 from 6.30pm
- Beechwood – Saturday, December 3 from 3.30pm
- Aster Chase – Tuesday, December 6 from 6.30pm
- Lower Darwen – Wednesday, December 7 from 6.30pm
- Oakdale – Thursday, December 8 from 6.30pm
- Lammack – Saturday, December 10 from 3.30pm
- Fernhurst – Sunday, December 11 from 3.30pm
- Brownhill – Tuesday, December 13 from 6.30pm
- Pleckgate – Wednesday, December 14 from 6.30pm
- Green Hills – Thursday, December 15 from 6.30pm
- Darwen – Sunday, December 18 from 3.30pm
The sleigh will also be visiting a number of community centres on Saturday, December 17:
- Greenfields Community Centre
- Mill Hill Community Centre
- Ivy St Community Centre
- Shadsworth Hub
- The Energy Zone
Collectors will knock on doors to make sure residents don't miss Santa travelling along their street.
Those wishing to donate can do so via cash into the collector's bucket or by card payment. Alternatively, donations are welcomed by texting "RTSANTA" along with the amount you would like to donate to 70085.
A spokesperson for the Round Table said: “Times are hard this year, but any donations are gratefully received.
“Money raised by the group is distributed to local charities and causes throughout the year. This year we have supported Blackburn Youth Darts Academy and ELHT&Me.”
