UPDATE: The road has now reopened
An East Lancashire road is closed after a car crashed into a wall.
Elton Road in Belthorn is closed and there is a diversion in place that takes you through Belthorn.
This is after a car crashed into a wall and flipped over. The driver was taken out of the vehicle with minor injuries.
According to the AA, traffic in the area is slow moving.
Police will issue an update once the road has reopened.
A police spokesperson said: “We were called to Elton Road, Belthorn at approximately 3.23pm today (November 7) to reports of a road traffic collision.
“A car left the road, collided with a wall and flipped over. The driver was taken out of the vehicle with minor injuries. Road closures remain in place.
"There is a diversion in place that takes you through Belthorn to continue your journey. We will update once the road has reopened."
In a recent update police said: "Following our earlier report for an accident on Elton Road Belthorn the road has now reopened. Thank you for your patience."
