A takeaway restaurant in Ramsbottom has won a prestigious food award for the second time.
Stubbins Tandoori, on North Road, won a Good Food Award for Takeaways 2023 after diners voted them one of the best in the country.
The awards aim to recognise the hard-working teams who strive for excellence in their field and winning entrants are chosen for food quality service and value.
Stubbins Tandoori was bestowed with a Blue Ribbon, for those the highest customer ratings.
Manager, Ashraful Amin Chowdhury said: “To gain this award two years running, is an amazing achievement for me and my team and have made us all very happy.
“It helps us stay motivated and eager to keep serving the people of Ramsbottom and beyond in these unprecedented times.
“I’ve spent a lot of time, effort & money in getting this business to where it should be and I won’t stop making it even better.”
The Good Food Awards were established in 2002 and allows establishments to put themselves forward while customers are encouraged to vote for their favourites.
Eateries can be nominated across five categories, one for Cafés, Gastropubs, fish and chips and fine dining.
After announcing this years winners on November 1, the Good Food Awards said: “Our Good Food Awards recognise the hard-working teams who strive for excellence within their field.
Chosen for their food quality, service and value, our prestigious Blue Ribbon is bestowed upon those with high customer ratings/votes and is known as – the Blue Ribbon for Delicious Dishes.”
