An annual Christmas tractor run is returning to Darwen next month, bringing the Christmas Spirit to local residents near and far.

The Turton Young Farmers Club charity Christmas Tractor Run will be returning for its second year, and is to be held on Sunday December 4.

The tractor run will be in aid of Turton Young Farmers Club and proceeds are being raised for the Bolton Mountain Rescue charity.

The event will begin at approximately 4pm leaving from Brocklehead Farm, Darwen.

It will then travel past the Golden Cup at 4.15pm, through Darwen Town Centre at 4.30pm, past Ocean Palace at 4.45pm, onto the Cross Guns in Egerton at 4.55pm, past Bromley Cross Train Station at 5.10pm, onto Turton Tower at 5.20pm, and heading past the Black Bull in Edgworth at 5.30pm.

The tractor run will then go past Toby in Broadhead at 5.45pm, past the Grey Mare on Grane Road at 6pm, past the Dog Inn, Belthorn at 6.10pm, onto Hoddlesden at 6.25pm before finishing back at Brocklehead Farm at 6.30pm.

A spokesperson for Turton Young Farmers said: "It’s time to watch the tractors pass through Darwen and get in the Christmas spirit.
