Blackburn Rovers player, Bradley Dack, has left a message for his fiancée Olivia Attwood who has been confirmed for the I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here line-up.
The midfielder posted a picture of Olivia and her fellow campmates in the signature jungle shirts and shorts and wished her luck.
He said: “Good luck Olivia. I can’t wait to watch”.
Olivia, who first shot to fame in the 2017 Love Island series, says her biggest phobia is the dark and is keen to avoid these type of challenges.
She says being part of the 2022 line-up still hasn’t sunk in yet.
She said: “When I first got the call to take part, I didn’t really believe it!
“It felt surreal because taking part in the jungle is the absolute pinnacle. It’s the crème de la crème of all shows and obviously I didn’t have to think about it. I said yes immediatel.
“I think people think I am high maintenance and I will struggle without make-up and nails but I am not that bothered and I think that might surprise people. I am happy to muck in.”
While she is excited to take part she doesn’t think she will win because she thinks people will view her as ‘marmite’.
She does however think she could be in with a chance of winning the title of this year’s contestant who screams a lot during the gruelling challenges.
She said: “Of course, it would be incredible but I don’t think I am ever going to win I’m A Celebrity.
“I feel like I am marmite - you either love me or hate me.”
She also joked that many people think reality TV stars are "work-shy and lacking in the brains department... and I'm going to confirm that - I'm joking!"
Olivia does think she could be in with a chance of winning the title of this year’s contestant who screams a lot during the gruelling challenges.
Olivia says she might miss fiancé Bradley, as well as her other friends and family.
She said: “I am not a terribly emotional person but I do think this show is unique.
“You have got no contact with friends and family, you are going to be hungry and you are going to be tested with fears and phobias.
“If there was one show that will make you emotional, then it is this one!”
Still pinching herself she is one of this year’s contestants, Olivia, who presented a documentary series, Getting Filthy Rich on ITV2 earlier this year, admits she is open to what life could have in store for her post jungle.
She said: “I’m A Celebrity is such an iconic programme and this year has been incredible.
“I am going straight into filming a new documentary when I finish and so there won’t be much rest for me on the other side but it’s so exciting. Getting the call to be part of this programme blew my mind.”
Former Health Secretary Matt Hancock has had the Conservative whip suspended after the MP agreed to join the reality show.
Mr Hancock, who was Health Secretary for much of the Covid-19 pandemic, before being forced to resign after CCTV footage showed him breaching his own Covid restrictions by having an affair in his office with a staff member.
West Suffolk will be left without representation in the House of Commons while Hancock earns some extra cash by entering the jungle. His decision has been criticised as "sickening" by a group of Covid bereaved families, but those close to Hancock said he wants to use the show to promote his dyslexia campaign.
He's not the first former Tory minister to enter the jungle, as Nadine Dorries featured in the 2012 series.
The full list of celebrities heading into the jungle are:
- Boy George - singer
- Sue Cleaver - Corrie actor
- Owen Warner - Hollyoaks actor
- Scarlette Douglas - TV presenter
