Staff and regulars at a Blackburn pub will be testing their general knowledge as they appear on quiz show Eggheads.

The manager and some customers of the Hare and Hounds pub on Lammack Road will feature on the Channel 5 show tonight (Friday, October 28).

Pub manager Paul Murphy will be joined by Hare and Hounds regulars Graham Hooley, Paul Murphy, Lee Sunderland and Julian Cooke on the show in an attempt to go against the ‘egghead’ quiz champions and win a cash prize.

It’s not the first the Hare and Hounds have appeared on the show, making an appearance five years ago.

A pub spokesperson said: “The Hare and Hounds quiz team are on Eggheads this coming Friday on Channel 5 at 6.30pm.

“We are very excited and looking forward to it. We had a team on the show 5 years ago and this time we’re led by manager Paul Murphy.

“We love quizzing and no one knows the outcome so we’re having a live screening on Friday with a buffet provided and hope they do the pub and the town proud.

"The programme will be shown on all screens so join us for the drama as it unfolds.”
