Two massive 90s icons are set to visit East Lancashire at the beginning of next month.

Award-winning broadcaster, stand-up comedian and The Word host, Terry Christian, and Dance Anthems DJ Dave Pearce will head to St Mary’s Chambers in Rossendale on November 3 and 4.

The creator and original presenter of BBC Radio 1’s Dance Anthems, Dave Pearce brings his live show to the Rawtenstall venue on November 4, for an intimate and exclusive night of nostalgia and great music, playing a jam-packed set full of 90’s dance classics.

Dave has been a driving force in the UK dance scene for many years and has sold more than one million mix compilation albums in the UK, held residencies in Ibiza, Ministry Of Sound and BCM in Mallorca and played all major dance festivals.

After hosting Kiss FM’s Breakfast show, Dave joined BBC Radio 1 and launched Dance Anthems, achieving its highest audience and weekly combined audience with his drivetime show of 17million listeners a week.

Dave Pearce's Dance Anthems went on to become a Sunday night clubbing institution for a generation.

St Mary’s Chambers venue director John Patrick said: "Dave Pearce is one of the most prominent DJs to emerge from the 90s and many of the team here used to listen to his iconic Radio 1 show.

“He is renowned for his energetic, uplifting and anthemic 'big room' sets.

“After a summer full of festivals and Ibiza appearances, we are extremely excited to welcome him to the venue for what is set to be a sensational night.

Support on the night comes from talented local DJs, Mad:am, Ramsboogie and Jay Leeder.

Tickets are on sale now and are available from stmaryslive.com or by calling the venue on 01706 223 222.

Doors are at 8pm and tickets are £13.50 plus booking fees.

The night before Dave Pearce’s set, Terry Christian will headline the venue to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the quintessentially 90s TV show.

Airing in August 1990, The Word both revolutionised youth TV and predated reality TV by many years.

Deliberately aiming to achieve something new and exciting, the show pushed the conventional boundaries of broadcasting to court controversy and outrage the establishment.

A venue spokesperson said: “Come and join in the fun with Terry and ask him anything you ever wanted to know about his time on The Word…absolutely anything.”

Doors open at 7pm on November 3 with the show starting at 8pm.

Tickets are £11 plus the booking fee and are available from www.manfordscomedyclub.com.
