A pub that's well-known for an iconic figurine of a bull attached to the building has hit the market.
The White Bull in Ribchester has been listed for sale just three years after a major refurbishment.
The pub recently won the Trip Advisor Traveller’s Choice Award 2022, putting it in the top 10 per cent worldwide.
Now, the pub business, which also has three double bedrooms which are let out, has been listed for sale with Daltons Business for £249,950.
The listing reads: “Our clients have established an excellent reputation and therefore attract a local and loyal clientele as well as those from further afield visiting the beautiful Ribble Valley with its fantastic scenery, great walks and many other attractions and activities.
“We trust this will prove a resoundingly successful acquisition, for a dedicated enthusiastic working proprietor to continue to exploit the full potential and derive maximum profits.”
The popular food pub was built in 1707 and was threatened with closure in 2015.
The closure prompted the formation of the Friends of the White Bull group which successfully campaigned to have the building designated as a Community Asset by Ribble Valley Borough Council.
In 2019, Bob and Marilyn Brooks took back the pub they previously owned 20 years before.
The family invested in the refurbishment and operation backing Chris, their son, who has experience in operating food-led destination pubs.
The current owners believe the building could possibly be one of the most photographed pubs in the country due to the unusual ‘White Bull’ wooden statue outside the front.
