Two fire engines from Blackburn and Preston were sent to tackle the derelict building blaze.
Crews were called yesterday (October 20) at 7.15pm to Smith Road, Mellor Brook.
Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, cutting tools and a saw to extinguish the blaze.
They were in attendance for two hours.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “At 7.15pm on October 20, two fire engines from Blackburn and Preston attended a derelict building fire on Smith Road, Mellor Brook, Blackburn.
“The incident involved a derelict house. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, cutting tools, and a reciprocating saw to extinguish the fire.
“They were in attendance for two hours.”
