With living costs continually rising, it’s no wonder that Brits are trying to make their money stretch further.

A farm shop in Lancashire has compared its produce in both weight and price with three local supermarkets to explain the difference between offerings and it could save you money on your weekly food shop.

Roby Mill Farm Shop in Skelmersdale took to Facebook to discuss its findings after the visit. The farm shop kept all supermarkets anonymous in the post.

In the Facebook post, the farm shop discussed differences found including prices and sizes of vegetables such as savoy cabbage, cauliflowers, leeks and more.

Plastic packaging is also discussed in the post, with the farm shop claiming “each item of supermarket bought veg came in a plastic bag”.

Customers can pick up vegetables from the farm shop plastic free.
