A man who was twice caught pleasuring himself at the side of the road in broad daylight has been dragged before court.
Blackburn Magistrates' Court heard Graham Guise was facing the road so anyone passing by could see exactly what the depraved pensioner was doing.
Guise, 67, was convicted after trial of two charges of outraging public decency.
He was made subject to a community order for 12 months with a 30 day rehabilitation activity requirement.
He was fined £140 with £300 costs and £95 victim surcharge.
Imposing the sentence District Judge Alex Boyd said the offences were concerning because of the repetition.
"It seems you place yourself in a location where you will be seen by a number of people," he added.
Ceejay Kok, prosecuting, said the first incident was on Stone Bank Road, near Egerton and Belmont, when an off-duty police officer was driving his wife and children back from a walk.
As they passed the defendant, who was standing at the side of the road, his wife asked if he had seen what she had seen and the officer said yes.
He stopped, identified himself as a police officer and spoke to Guise.
"The defendant said he had been for a walk and had no idea why he had done what he had done," said Miss Kok.
The second incident was in Dunkirk Way, Leyland, and the witness was a lone female motorist.
She said she could see clearly what Guise, of Fossdale Way, Leyland, was doing.
"She said he didn't seem alarmed by her presence and continued to masturbate," said Miss Kok.
"She said she was disgusted."
The woman turned round and got the defendant's registration number before he drove off."
Sefton Lee, offering mitigation, said Guise had always denied the charges and claimed he had been urinating at the side of the road.
"He says he has a weak bladder and has to urinate regularly," said Mr Lee.
"He has instructed me to appeal to the Crown Court against his conviction."
