The son an East Lancashire Coronation Street actor was surprised to see his dad appear on the television.
The adorable video shows Sam Aston’s child, Sonny, shouting at the television asking his dad, who plays Chesney Brown on the ITV soap, to “come back”.
The video was captured by Sonny’s mum, Briony, who owns Happy Baby Studio in Crawshawbooth.
In one scene, Chesney is at the pub and Sonny can be heard saying ‘daddy, daddy, daddy’.
Briony can be heard saying: “Is he at the pub?”.
In another Instagram post, Briony said the two-year-old had been saying “daddy come back” and “daddy shouting”.
Bacup-born Sam is currently living in Rossendale with his wife and two children.
Sam and Briony announced the birth of their second child, Daisy, in May. Briony had a water birth at their Lancashire home.
Sam has played Chesney in Coronation Street since 2003.
His job role has prepared him for fatherhood as his character became a father-of-five in 2019 when his partner on the show, Gemma Winter, gave birth to quadruplets.
