Members of the Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team have received their Queen’s Platinum Jubilee medals.

Thirty-eight Operational Team members gathered at our Headquarters at Smelt Mill in the Trough of Bowland to receive their medals from His Grace, the Duke of Westminster.

Team Chairman David Matthews and Team Leader Kevin Camplin welcomed the Duke, Hugh Richard Louis Grosvenor, who joined the team in a minute silence in honour of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

His Grace then spoke of Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II recognising her strengths and the recognition towards the volunteer sector.
