American chain Five Guys is set to open its first Lancashire restaurant today (October 3).
The burger giant, famed for its delicious and mouth-watering, made to order burgers and hot dogs, generous fries and irresistible milkshakes, will open the county’s first restaurant at Deepdale Retail Park in Preston.
Five Guys fans have been excited about the new restaurant since it began advertising job opportunities on its website for a new restaurant in the city.
A planning application for the site was approved by the council in June.
Founded in Virginia in 1986 and launched in the UK in 2013 in London’s Covent Garden, the American-diner style restaurant has become one of the UK’s most-loved fast food restaurants.
There are 113 venues and counting in the UK, and previously burger fans had to travel to Manchester for a taste but now the journey is a lot shorter.
It has amassed a loyal fanbase – with superstar fans including Mollie King, Ed Sheeran and Maya Jama – it’s sure to be one of the coolest destination in Preston this year.
A spokesperson for Five Guys said: “With over 250,000 possible burger order combinations which use only the freshest ingredients, as well as the over 1,000 possible ways to customise your very own milkshake, Five Guys is sure to become a must-visit restaurant for Lancashire-based foodies when it opens its doors on October 3.”
