A RESIDENTS' association is celebrating the success of a May Day and cream tea event in Darwen.
Families at the event held outside the Sunnyhurst Hotel, were delighted with entertainment from Annie's Saints and Sinners Jazz Band and Rivington Ladies' Morris Display Team.
A tombola and facepainting added to the fun and children were given free entry with a soft drink and bun for every child.
The event is in its fourth year, and helps to fundraise for local charities and the association's summer and Christmas events.
Following the event on Sunday, organisers thanked all those who provided donations which made the day possible, including funds for the jazz band and morris dancers, which came from Twin Valley Homes.
Maureen Wearing of the group said: "It's a proper old-fashioned family day out which just gets better every year.
"We just want to thank everyone who helped to make the day a success."
