A man has reportedly been acting suspiciously and verbally abusing residents in Turton.
Blackburn and Darwen police have issued a warning to people in the Turton area to stay vigilant after suspicious activity from the doorknocker.
A white man aged between 20 and 30 has been knocking on doors selling items from his rucksack and became aggressive when he is asked to leave.
The man is described as being of a large build, approximately 5"9 tall, and wearing shorts and a T-shirt.
A spokesperson for the police said: “The male has become aggressive when asked to leave, verbally abusing residents, and causing them distress.
“These incidents are few and far between so please do not concern yourself too much, remember do not open your door to anybody you don't know and keep your premises secure.”
If you see this male, be aware and report any sighting by phoning 101 and quoting log number 765 and 811 of September 24, 2022.
