“It’s been a tough week and worrying time for his family.”
Carl’s team wants to reassure his fans that all is well.
They said: “Thank you to anyone who has expressed concern but the reassuring thing is that Carl is going home today.
“Doctors wouldn’t be doing that if they weren’t confident that he was going to make a full recovery.
“Knowing Carl he’ll be pelting up Darwen Tower on his bike in a couple of days.”
They also wanted to thank staff at Royal Blackburn Hospital for their care and dedication.
They said: “Staff have been magnificent and given him unbelievable care. He has been blown away by how great everyone has been.”
Carl recently attended his daughter’s wedding; Danielle married her beau Ross Worsick in Ibiza earlier this month.
Carl brought a white motorbike to the event and shared a picture of himself sitting on it.
