Lancashire is about to get spooky as the county hosts a wide range of Halloween activities for all to enjoy.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach Journey to Hell Freak Nights will be returning this year.

Journey to Hell Freak Nights is a terrifying, experience-led event featuring live actors through eight themed areas of Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

Face your worst fears with silent assassins, evil carnival dwellers, undead sorcerers and even aquatic terrors lurking around every corner.

The events will take place on selected nights from October 7 to 30 after the amusement park has closed to the public.

Scare zones include The Legend of the Cursed River Caves, Pleasure Beach Hexpress, Rising Ghost Train, The Lost and more.

Some scare zones incorporate thrilling ride experiences including intense high-speed rollercoasters.

The FY4 area of Blackpool Pleasure Beach will also be transformed into a hellish area where guests can join the Gate Keeper for live music and entertainment throughout the night while grabbing something to eat or drink.

Journey to Hell runs from 7pm until 10pm each night and incorporates eight scare zones and five rides.

Mrs Dowsons Farm Park's Pumpkin Patch in Blackburn is also back this year.

The pumpkin patch features three acres of homegrown pumpkins plus 12 rare imported varieties.

Blackburn Empire Theatre also cannot wait to welcome the public to their Halloween Spooktacular Show on October 30.

The fangtastic family panto brought to the stage from Tom Rolfe Productions will start at 1pm.

All is calm at Creaky Towers until the wicked Belladonna reeks havoc on the Halloween party because she doesn’t receive an invitation! Will Tommy the Ghostbuster manage to save the day? Will everyone live happily ever after?

Air Unlimited in Burnley will also be hosting a Halloween day of fun.

On Friday October 28 between 5pm and 7pm Air Unlimited will be hosting their Spook Air Spectacular.

And finally, Sew Confident Chorley is hosting a Halloween themed class on October 26, where beginners and keen crocheters alike can crochet cute pumpkin decorations for their homes.

The two and a half hour class teaches the basics of crochet, including: holding the crochet hook correctly; controlling the tension in your yarn; chain stitching; double crocheting; and sewing up your crochet creation.
