A WOMAN who became lonely after the death of her parents and her brother eventually took her own life.
An inquest heard that friends who broke into Margaret Airey's home found her unresponsive in bed with medication, a note and her brother's ashes next to her.
The note said; "Sorry but I feel I am not coping any more.
"Thanks to you all for trying to look after me."
Miss Airey, 59, of Bowland Avenue, Burnley, died from hypoxic brain damage after taking a cocktail of proxitine, insulin and diazepam.
Friend and work colleague Doreen Maslin said she went round to Miss Airey's home because she hadn't heard from her.
She and her husband had to force their way into the house.
Coroner Michael Singleton recorded a verdict that Miss Airey killed herself.
